IN FOCUS
Duke has been a Light of Hope participant since we first opened our doors to clients on January 27, 2023. Duke enjoys the days when he has the opportunity to take long walks on the beach, especially when the sun is shining and the ocean waves are crashing upon the sand. He also enjoys taking field trips to the Los Angeles Zoo to see all the animals. Who does Duke enjoy doing these things with? His friend, Nicholas.
We are so happy Duke has found a place he loves coming to.
Love is Everywhere!
Take some time out from your busy schedule to notice the beauty of nature that surrounds you. Stop to smell the flowers, watch the clouds floating across the sky, and share a smile. Life is grand.

STAR WARS and SDI
DEFENDING AMERICA & THE GALAXY
The participants of The Light of Hope Program enjoyed an exciting field trip to see the Star Wars Exhibit at the Ronald Reagan Library!

"On March 23, 1983 in a televised address to the nation, President Ronald Reagan announced his intention to embark upon groundbreaking research into a national defense system that could make nuclear weapons obsolete, called the Strategic Defense Initiative, or SDI. The heart of the SDI program was a plan to develop a space-based missile defense program that could protect the country from a large-scale nuclear attack. The media quickly began calling the program "Star Wars," since it seemed as impossible as the events of a galaxy far, far away."

For Light of Hope participants who have a desire to become a part of the Thespian community, we will soon be adding acting classes to our roster of activities. You may sign up by emailing us, and your name will be added to the list!

Love is Everywhere!
Light of Hope is a place "Where Flowers Bloom." It is a program offered by The Naslund & Naslund Foundation. Our plan is designed to provide community integration services to participants who face challenging circumstances. We strive to be the 'Light of Hope' that our participants can turn their faces to shine as brightly as they can, overcoming obstacles to conquer those things they thought they could never do. We believe in living life to its fullest and setting no limitations on oneself, and we teach these values through our program.
