Interviewer: What is your favorite activity at program?
Katelyn: I like everything. I love Amelia and all of my friends. I love Light of Hope. My favorite activity is baseball.

Interviewer: How has Light of Hope impacted your life?
Katelyn: Light of Hope makes me feel happy. I love coming here because I love my friends. I love my support guide, Josefina. I like to volunteer at Shemesh Farms.
UPCOMING EVENTS
We will be holding our Second Annual Winter Wonder Music Festival Fundraiser on Saturday February 3, 2024 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at North Ranch Center, 1400 North Westlake Blvd.
We will be celebrating Black History month, learning all about the contributions made by African Americans to the success of not just the American people, but to the world!
President's Day is celebrated on February 19th! We will have a discussion about the impact some of the Presidents made on our society.

The Guitar Center Music Foundation has generously donated musical equipment to our music program which is a branch of our performing arts component.

Light of Hope participants are learning to play the drums and keyboards. The next instrument to be introduced is the guitar.
​
Last year, some of our participants were involved in the writing and recording of our first single, "I Like The Sun," with Larry Antonino of the group Pablo Cruise. The song can be purchased on streaming platforms. The song was recorded at Agoura Borealis Recording Studio in Agoura Hills, which is owned by Harold and Francine Greene. The music instructor for Light of Hope is Scott Moyer.
Thanks to Thousand Oaks Arts for donating tickets to Light of Hope to see the "Blind Boys of Alabama" and another performance which, is a musical, "North the Underground Railroad."
