WHAT'S TO COME!
Summer is on the way! It is an exciting time for sun lovers. Many outdoor activities such as swimming, boating, fishing, field & track, outdoor volleyball, golf, and baseball, etc. are lined up for Light of Hope participants.
Staying active is one of the keys to having a healthy body and mind. It is our desire at The Naslund & Naslund Foundation to keep our participants engaged in activities that are not only educational and healthy, but fun.
This summer, we are hoping to have a one day camping experience! Can you just see the hot dogs and marshmallows roasting over the grill? There are so many ideas we can add to this adventure, so we will include something for everyone. We can't wait to get started!

The Beauty of Purpose
The true beauty of the Oak tree is found in its purpose; Oaks provide shade for man and protection for all species of animals as well as countless insects and reptiles. They improve air quality by storing carbon dioxide and exhaling oxygen through the process of photosynthesis. In the same way, everyone has been given the gift of purpose and service. No matter how seemingly insignificant, all may give joy and laughter to a world in pain. Through a gentle smile, a kind word, or the joy of laughter, each person has a unique purpose that no one else can fulfill in exactly the same way. Whatever the appearance or circumstance, every person has been given a gift which often unconsciously is to be passed on and given again.
