Light Of Hope Day Program
Naslund & Naslund's "Light of Hope" is a Community-Based Integration Program that is committed and designed to enrich and empower adults with special needs: Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. Light of Hope Community Integration Day Program will help each individual through continuous support and inspiration by encouraging them to realize their undiscovered talents and abilities, to live life to their fullest potential, and expand their horizons which will enrich the quality of their relationships with family, friends, and community.
Overcoming Obstacles
The challenges of individuals with disabilities are very prominent in today's society. Although more awareness has been spotlighted on their oppositions in life, there is still much to accomplish in leveling the playing field of equality in opportunity and recognition, but with dedication and open hearts, the Light of Hope Program will be a strong ally by implementing the skills, tools, and developing partnerships in the community as resources for job placements, and to bring about positive changes for each person in our program.

Acquiring skills is a path to gaining independence and that path is a unique footprint for each person as one's independence looks different, than the next person's. Through the process of discovery, we will help unlock, focus on, and assist in developing current and new skills through communication with each individual, their support network, and observations to promote living a more accomplished life!

Empowerment
Self-Advocacy
Having a voice is a powerful tool, a gift. Having your voice heard through sound or emotional expression is a right. Being able to speak your truth and knowing how to self-advocate with the result of having your needs met is not only a necessity, but EMPOWERMENT! Light of Hope is here to help you do both, self-advocate and empower you through Planning and Person-Centered Practices!
Person-Centered
Planning
We realize that a majority of adults with special needs are cared for at home by their families who may also have jobs or other obligations during the day and do not have the luxury to assist their loved ones in seeking employment or to be active in their community. By enrolling your son or daughter into the Light of Hope Program, you can put your mind at ease knowing your loved one will now have plans to maximize and enlighten their day in a safe environment, seek employment, explore their gifts, build on their potential, have assistance in reaching their goals, and have help in recognizing and using their verbal and non verbal voices through choice and strategic personalized planning.

The Naslund & Naslund Foundation's services will not stop at the Light of Hope Community Integration Day Program. Within the next two years, we will launch two new programs, one to feed the homeless and hungry by opening a food bank, and another to assist at-risk youth by helping them to be more active in their communities through sports, art, volunteer work placement, social gatherings, and teaching positive practices and good decision making with intent and hands on exercises that will impact the directions of their paths in life.
